The Interaction of Basic Fears and Basic Desires in the Enneagram Styles

Canada · CEU points & talks · Psychologists

Canadian psychologists, gain valuable insights into the core motivations of your clients by examining the Enneagram's basic fears and desires. This talk illuminates how the interplay of these fundamental drives shapes behaviour and relational dynamics, offering practical strategies to enhance client self-awareness and enrich your therapeutic practice across Canada.

This talk looks at each of the nine Enneagram styles and how their basic fear and basic desire interact (most often unconsciously). The dance of these two aspects of type result in the behavioural patterns that we observe in the Types.  While noone type has a monopoly on any fear or desire, what we observe when working with they Types, is there is extra "traction" that can be gained in therapy, when we sensitively surface this dance in the client's awareness.
