Understanding Bullying: Exploring the why & the how - 2. The bullied

Canada · CEU points & talks · Psychologists

Canadian psychologists will learn to identify risk factors and understand the emotional impact of bullying on students. This talk offers trauma-informed approaches to promote autonomy and resilience in vulnerable children.

In this second talk of the two-part series, internationally recognised occupational therapist Maude Le Roux delves into the experiences of students who are targeted by bullying. The talk examines the psychological, social, and developmental factors that contribute to victimisation, highlighting the emotional and psychological impact of repeated bullying. Maude explores how developmental stages influence resilience and discusses trauma-informed approaches that support autonomy and self-sufficiency. Participants will gain practical strategies to recognise at-risk students and provide meaningful support to help them navigate social challenges
